Based on a popular manga, the fantasy anime series DNANGEL adds a supernatural twist to its coming-of-age saga of teenage love and alienation. Daisuke is a normal adolescent boy until his 14th birthday triggers a dormant family gene that transforms him into a master thief named Phantom Dark whenever he's in the presence of the girl he likes, Risa. In addition to severely cramping his social life, the teen's metamorphosis is exploited by his mother, who uses Daisuke's alter ego for her own nefarious purposes, and the local police force, who aim to put a stop to his thieving ways. This volume presents the fantasy anime series in its entirety for a total of 26 episodes.
